An Active Place

The team draw on national Active Design and NHS Healthy Places guidance to design high quality play space, close to people’s homes, with safe connections.

Phase 1 will include 25 play areas. Woodland glades will provide additional spaces for the young of all ages with public art and picnic areas.

People can get also get closer to nature by growing their own in the allotments, or picking fresh fruit from the community orchards and edible streets, designed so school children can pick their own fruit on their walk to school.

Sports will be provided through:

reactivating the former Rugby pitch;

creating a new football pitch alongside it;

the lake providing a base for recreational water sports, such as canoeing;

Running loops including a lake loop of 1300m or 0.8 Miles.
